Assistant Professor of Drama
Stephen joined the faculty of the Department of Drama, as the Professor of Scenic and Lighting Design, in 2011. As a member of the United Scenic artist Local 829 his designs designs are seen in regional theatres, concert settings, and touring ballet companies around the country. As an area of research and development Stephen works with Nemetschek-Vectorworks as a software beta tester for 3D environment. He often conducts national training seminars on 3D drafting and rendering for entertainment. Stephen is also a member of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology. An organization dedicated to exposing students to the professional industry of theatre ad design for entertainment.
As a Professor of Theatre Design, Stephen explores the use of technology as a tool in storytelling. His teaching is based on the idea of creating a unified theatrical experience through the study of scenography and visual dramaturgy in the creation of an environment.
