Adjunct Professor in International Studies
Richard Reitano has been an Adjunct Professor at Vassar since the late 1980s. He is Emeritus Professor of Government at Dutchess Community College. Professor Reitano has taught courses in the Vassar College Exploring Transfer Program during the summers, courses on American foreign policy for the department during the regular academic year, and currently is teaching the Model UN course. He also directs the Summer Scholars Program for Dutchess County high school students. Model UN prepares a joint Vassar-Dutchess Community College student delegation for participation in the annual National Model United Nations (NMUN) in New York City. The NMUN is the largest simulation conducted in the U.S., and it brings together over 4000 college students from about 30 U.S. states and 25 other countries. His latest book, The New Dynamics of Multilateralism, will be published in late 2010.
