I hold a bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature and Art History from Indiana University, a master's degree in English and creative writing from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Virginia. At Vassar I teach a wide range of courses in English and women's studies, including expository and creative writing, imperial and post-colonial literatures, modern British and American literature, and women in global visual culture. My current projects include collections of poetry and imaginative prose as well as a monograph, Religious Embodiment and Minority Modernisms.
