Jan Cameron

Assistant Professor of Mathematics on the Class of 1951 Chair

Jan Cameron received his A.B. in philosophy at Kenyon College, his M.S. in mathematics at Wayne State University, and his Ph.D. in mathematics at Texas A&M University. He has been a member of the department of mathematics and statistics at Vassar College since 2009. His primary area of research is in operator algebras, specifically the structure of von Neumann algebras and C*-algebras associated to groups and group actions. He also has an interest in the mathematics of voting and elections.
